Hello all! My name is Shannon and I make (among many other crafty things) diaper cakes! My diaper cakes are 3-tier-shaped cake made from rolled, stacked diapers. I use approximately 48-50 diapers per cake. I can use any brand of diapers (not cloth) to make these cakes but the cheaper the brand of diaper, the cheaper the cake. I use large, medium and small ribbon to wrap around the diapers decoratively. Inside the cake I will usually put two bottles of baby lotion/wash or baby feed bottles to keep the cake sturdy. The cakes are normally put on a chipboard or cardboard based covered with decorative scrapbook paper to match the cakes theme. Extra elements can be added but you can read more about that in the “Customization” section. I wrap the whole cake in a cellophane bag, tied with a ribbon and a tag with my logo/info on it.
My base cakes (plain, just ribbon, bottles) are $45 plus $15 in shipping (the cake is around 4 lbs and over a foot tall and a about foot wide). Additional elements (toys, pacifiers etc) are additional costs and may require additional shipping.
